Enterprises like yours are increasingly extending their data centers to a hybrid cloud environment, based on findings from a recent commissioned Forrester survey. This adoption of cloud-based infrastructure and apps drives the need to secure privileged access across on-premises, private-cloud and public cloud environments with a single solution. Leveraging built-in Infrastructure-as-a-Service security is a good start, but not a complete solution according to the Amazon Web Services Shared Responsibility Model. AWS provides an excellent layer of foundational security for services, but their model is clear – “businesses are still responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their data in the cloud.”
