Centrify Identity Service saved SBA an estimated $50,000 a year in AD FS costs and negated the need for a separate EMM solution. Low maintenance requirements have freed up IT staff and compliance with SOX regulations have been reinforced.
“Centrify offers a state-of-the-art authentication solution coupled with an MDM solution that has allowed us to more effectively leverage the dollars we’re spending as we provide the organization with better, more secure processes.”
JORGE GRAU, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER, SBA COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION
CENTRIFY IDENTITY SERVICE CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT
Wireless communications infrastructure operator SBA Communications chose Centrify Identity Service as its IDaaS platform to simplify app integration, address enterprise mobility management (EMM) requirements, and ensure a more robust security and compliance stature without building out a high-cost disaster recovery co-location.
Innotas, ExpenseWatch, Cornerstone, Ultimate Software, Yammer as well as business-critical apps such as Office 365 are now federated across SBA Communications’ environment and available to all employees via single-sign on including secure mobile access.
- Avoid creating a duplicate AD FS implementation for disaster recovery
- Avoid the costs and efforts associated with patching, upgrading and maintaining an on premise AD FS solution
- Office 365 integration
- Secure data on mobile devices
In addition to alleviating the headache and costs required to build out AD FS, Centrify also helped with SOX compliance and negated the requirement for a separate EMM solution.
The Centrify solution has saved the company $50,000 - $60,000 per year that would have been required to further build out its AD FS environment, however, the greatest cost savings may never be known. “Breaches can be devastating to an organization and the cost can be significant depending upon just the potential exposure,” said Jorge Grau, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at SBA Communications Corporation. “Knowing that Centrify is helping us to minimize our attack surface to a significant degree is invaluable.”
