Citizens Bank of Philadelphia meets GLBA compliance using Centrify Identity Service for secure single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and for federation of Office 365
“SAML-enabled apps can easily be linked into the Centrify system and that greatly simplifies password management for the IT department. It also makes it easier on users by reducing the number of passwords they have to remember, and that makes the whole network much more secure.”

CENTRIFY IDENTITY SERVICE CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT
The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia needed fast, easily deployed federation services for their new Office 365 implementation. As a financial institution that falls under GLBA (Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act) regulations, a single sign-on solution that helped to ensure the secure handling of private customer information was essential. In addition to Office 365, they use Zendesk for internal IT support and are evaluating a number of new cloud apps, including Asana for project management.
- Identity federation for Office 365
- Compliance with GLBA regulations
- Single-sign on for identity and password consolidation
- Multi-factor authentication for added security
“We’d been focused solely on Office 365 federation services, so the ability to integrate all the different web apps as well came as a nice surprise,” says Reynolds.
Today, Citizens Bank employees have secure, single sign-on access to Office 365 and other key apps. Employees logging in from anywhere outside the bank’s network are using Centrify’s two-factor authentication for secure remote access. Users are authenticated and customer data is protected, as required by GLBA.
