Yes, you read it correctly. Centrify, the only identity services provider to be evaluated in and positioned as a leader in both The Forrester Wave™: Identity-As-A-Service, Q4 2017 and The Forrester Wave™: Privileged Identity Management, Q3 2016 has also been identified by Forrester as a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Mobility Management, Q4 2017. Centrify received the highest possible scores in the product vision and mobile identity and access criteria. According to Forrester,
“Centrify was the first vendor in the EMM market to unite IDaaS with mobility management and continues to excel in that area.”
For this report, Forrester evaluated the 13 most significant vendors over 25 criteria, which were grouped into three categories including current offering, strategy and market presence. The report also calls out that as EMM technology broadens in scope, Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) are key differentiators.
“Vendors that can provide context-based identity and access management capabilities, such as conditional access and risk-based authentication, position themselves to successfully deliver secure, user-friendly EMM experiences to their customers.”
According to Forrester, Centrify’s identity capabilities include certificate and biometric authentication, conditional access policy creation, and support for derived credentials and privileged identity management. Uniquely, Centrify uses machine learning to analyze employee behavior and generate risk scores for users. This enables administrators to set policy based on risk level and adaptively enforce additional security policies, such as MFA or biometric.
Here at Centrify, we have always believed that the two once-distinct markets of mobility and identity would eventually converge as they go hand in hand. With this report, we believe this acknowledgement is a strong validation of Centrify’s zero-trust approach to securing access to apps and systems from any device, including mobile devices. Based upon this vision, Centrify’s strategy merges Identity and mobility in a unique approach by offering one purpose built platform, incorporating SSO, MFA, mobility and privilege together. We feel that EMM without Identity is an incomplete solution since a combined offering provides greater security, and greatly improves end user experience, while providing flexibility for enterprise or personal owned devices.
The EMM Wave report states EMM is a critical tool to balance employee experience and security, and helps companies maintain security and compliance. To download the The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Mobility Management, Q4 2017, click here.
