Centrify to Help Veterans Advance Careers with Free Training and Certification Program; First Session to be Held in Washington, DC, from Sept. 22 to 26
Partnership with American Job Center Will Help Veterans Become Experts in Solving Regulatory Compliance and Security Challenges, Network with Local Employers
September 08, 2014
SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Centrify Corporation, the leader in unified identity management across data center, cloud and mobile, today announced a free nationwide training and certification program to help veterans advance their careers. The first five-day training and employer networking event — valued at $2,150 per person — will be hosted in Washington, DC, from Sept. 22 to 26.
To encourage job placement, Centrify is working to give Washington, DC-area employers opportunities to network with the veterans during the training. Employers gain tax credits for hiring veterans.
“Nearly half of our professional services team are veterans, and this complementary training and certification program is Centrify’s small way of giving back to our nation’s heroes,” said Dean Thompson, vice president, Field Technical Services at Centrify. “We want to help veterans succeed in the next phase of their careers by giving them valuable training, as well as the opportunity to connect directly with employers who need Centrify Certified Administrators. Centrify has always had a great relationship with our armed forces veterans and we see this as a way to give back to this important group.”
Veterans interested in this training can contact the UNITED VETS STEM-SMART organization at (202) 257-3812 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Attendees will receive access to the Centrify certification exam for up to 60 days after completion of the training program. As Centrify Certified Administrators, veterans will be able to solve complex regulatory compliance and security challenges using the Centrify Server Suite.
Centrify makes security and regulatory compliance repeatable and sustainable by securing the broadest range of mission-critical servers from identity-related insider risks and outsider attacks. The solution leverages Active Directory and cloud-based single sign-on to centrally manage authentication, access controls, privileged identities, policy enforcement and compliance across cloud, mobile and on-premise environments.
Centrify plans to host the next training program in Houston later this year.
Centrify provides unified identity management across data center, cloud and mobile environments that results in single sign-on (SSO) for users and a simplified identity infrastructure for IT. Centrify’s unified identity management software and cloud-based Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) solutions leverage an organization’s existing identity infrastructure to enable single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, privileged identity management, auditing for compliance and mobile device management.
