Getting Started with the Centrify Add-On for Splunk
Splunk now gives users the option to leverage the Active Directory integration provided by Centrify to manage authentication and access control for Splunk clients deployed on UNIX and Linux systems. With these systems secured using Centrify Suite or Centrify Suite Express, IT managers can set specific authorization of Splunk roles by mapping them to groups in Active Directory.
This Active Directory integration is packaged as an official Splunk Add-On on Splunkbase. Using the Centrify Add-On for Splunk with the free Centrify Express provides basic authentication and access control (standard Splunk licensing still applies). Kerberos-based single sign-on is available as an upgrade.
