Webinar: Macs in the Enterprise

Monday, October 8, 2007

On Tuesday October 9th at 1 pm EST we are doing a joint webinar with Apple on the topic of deploying Macs in the enterprise. Click here to register.

Joining us from Apple is Joel Rennich, aka MacTroll, who runs the great website AFP548.com, and is the Consulting Engineering Manager in Apple's Enterprise group. So if there is anyone who can speak on this topic from Apple, Joel is the right guy. David McNeely, Director of Product Management, will be presenting on Centrify's behalf. We will be showing a lot of our unique Group Policy capability for the Mac environment.

I think this is a very timely webinar given all the news about whether Apple is really going after the enterprise market, do they have a window of opportunity given Vista, etc. I personally think key to any success for any vendor in the enterprise is (a) can their solution integrate nicely with a customer's existing environment, as most organizations are loath to do a full-scale rip and replace; (b) does it address a compelling point of pain that a customer has that the current infrastructure cannot address in a cost-effective manner; and (c) is there a healthy ecosystem of partners who can add value to the vendor's solution to make it even more compelling.

Should be interesting to hear what Joel has to say on this topic!
