DirectControl Gets Windows 2008 Certified; Centrify Participates in 'Heroes Happen Here' Launch Events

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

In support of today's launch of Windows 2008, Centrify is pleased to announce that DirectControl is the first (and only!) identity and access management solution to receive Windows Server 2008 software certification. This follows DirectControl being the first and only solution of its kind to also receive Windows 2003 certification.

Customers looking at solutions to extend Active Directory to non-Microsoft systems and applications should view Windows Server certification as a "must have" requirement so they can have the confidence that a vendor's solution has been independently tested to properly interoperate with Windows Server and Active Directory. Windows Server 2008 software certification consists of approximately 100 test cases that independently confirm an application's compliance with best practices for compatibility, security, reliability and availability on the new platform, while ensuring the software performs in a 64-bit environment. We are pleased to get this seal of approval.
